Hi, I’m Mike Fleet – professional handyman and owner of House Calls: Handyman, Renovation and Property Maintenance Services and helping busy homeowners with home repairs and maintenance is what I do.

My Story
Having spent a 30+ year career helping others as a social worker I found myself, in 2019, out of work due to cutbacks at the agency where I worked.
As a result, I was looking for work that would keep me active and allow me to help people. For many years I had talked about starting up a handyman business and the time seemed right to carry this out.
I love doing this kind of work and have over the past 25+ years honed my skills as I have renovated, repaired, and maintained four of my own homes.
For me the combined skills as a social worker and a handyman are ideal. I have highly developed communication skills that will help in fully understanding what the customer desires in a finished product and the technical skills to carry this to completion.
I believe it is this unique combination of skills that sets me apart from others in the handyman business.
Features and Benefits
No having to track down different people about your project. You will work only with me the owner of the company throughout your project. I place a high value on ensuring that my customers receive the service they expect and clear and consistent communication is key to achieving this.
I understand that having a project take place in your home can be a stressful time. Typically we would all like the work done in as short a time as possible. I will be realistic in my time estimates. Quality does require time but the pay off to you is something that will be long lasting.
I have taken steps though to ensure that I am efficient in the work I do, both in the techniques I employ and the tools I use. I will arrive at your home towing my Mobile Workshop (The Smart Workshop) – a highly organized cargo trailer that contains all the tools and hardware required to complete most jobs. It’s all there, stored so that I can quickly grab what is required and get down to work. The space is also organized so that work can be completed in the trailer or just outside, keeping the mess and noise out of your home.
